Different labels templates are available from different parts of the system. The system "filters" all of the labels and presents a list of labels that are associated with the specific part of the system that is being accessed.
Shipping labels are available from the Labels command option within Shipping Options. Types of shipping labels available include:
Shipping labels can be printed per transaction from Sales Orders, Order Control and Shipping, or in batches from Dispatching and Shipping Papers (based on the settings in Shipping Options and the user overrides in User Options).
Inventory labels are available from the Labels command option within Purchasing Options or Inventory Options. Inventory labels are used in Purchasing, Receiving Purchase Orders, Complete Purchase Orders, inventory transfers, Planned Transfers, Work Orders, Inventory Adjustments and Item Inquiry (based on the settings in Purchasing Options and Inventory Options).
Free-form labels are available from the Print Label menu option. Free-form labels may include selective information about customers, vendors, items and/or text only.
The system comes with a number of pre-defined samples and ready-to-use shipping, inventory and free-form label templates. These sample templates can be used to create new labels. Users also have the ability to design labels from scratch. Labels are designed in two steps: first, the physical characteristics or attributes for the label template are defined; second, fields or text are added to the label using the Label Designer.
